Online presences in social media
We maintain online presences within social networks and platforms in order to communicate with customers, interested parties and users active there and to inform them about our services. When calling up the respective networks and platforms, the terms and conditions and data processing guidelines of the respective operators apply.
With the following information we inform you about the contents of our newsletter as well as the registration, dispatch and statistical evaluation procedures and your rights of objection.
By subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to the receipt and the described procedures.
Data processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO). You can revoke this consent at any time by unsubscribing the newsletter. The legality of the data processing operations that have already taken place remains unaffected by the revocation.
Content of the newsletter:
We send newsletters, e-mails and other electronic notifications containing advertising information (hereinafter referred to as “newsletter”) only with the consent of the recipient or a legal permission. If the contents of the newsletter are specifically described within the scope of registration, they are decisive for the consent of the user. Our newsletters are sent approximately every two weeks and contain numerous free tips and content as well as information about our products, offers, promotions and our company itself.
Double-Opt-In and logging:
The registration to our newsletter takes place in a so-called Double-Opt-In procedure. This means that after registration you will receive an e-mail in which you will be asked to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary so that nobody can register with third-party e-mail addresses. The registrations for the newsletter are logged in order to be able to prove the registration process according to the legal requirements. This includes the storage of the registration and confirmation time as well as the IP address. Likewise the changes of your data stored with the shipping service provider are logged.
To subscribe to the newsletter, it is sufficient to enter your e-mail address. Optionally, we ask you to enter a name in the newsletter for the purpose of addressing you personally.
You can cancel the receipt of our newsletter at any time, i.e. revoke your consent. You will find a link to cancel the newsletter at the end of each newsletter.
The data you provide to us for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and deleted from our servers as well as from CleverReach’s servers after you cancel the newsletter. This does not affect data stored by us for other purposes (e.g. e-mail addresses via the contact form).
Shipping service provider:
The newsletter is sent via the newsletter service CleverReach GmbH & Co KG, Mühlenstr. 43, 26180 Rastede. CleverReach is a service with which the newsletter dispatch can be organized and analyzed. The data you enter for newsletter subscription (e.g. e-mail address) is stored on CleverReach’s servers in Germany and Ireland.
Conclusion of a contract for the processing of personal data:
We have concluded a contract with CleverReach for the processing of personal data and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using CleverReach.
Newsletter - Evaluation of success
The newsletters contain a so-called “web-beacon”, i.e. a file the size of a pixel, which is retrieved from our server when the newsletter is opened. Within the scope of this retrieval, technical information such as information about the browser and your system, as well as your IP address and the time of retrieval are collected.
The information about access times and retrieval locations (which can be determined with the help of the IP address) are used for the technical improvement of the services. The statistical surveys also include determining whether the newsletters are opened, when they are opened and which links are clicked. For technical reasons, this information can be assigned to the individual newsletter recipients. It is, however, neither our endeavour nor, if used, that of the shipping service provider to observe individual users. The evaluations serve us much more to recognize the reading habits of our users and to adapt our contents to them or to send different contents according to the interests of our users.
Further information on data analysis through the CleverReach newsletter can be found at: https://www.cleverreach.com/de/funktionen/reporting-und-tracking/.
We use the Google reCaptcha service to determine whether a person or computer makes a particular entry in our contact or newsletter form. Google uses the following information to determine whether you are a human being or a computer: IP address of the terminal device used, the website that you visit on our site and on which the captcha is embedded, the date and duration of the visit, the identification data of the browser and operating system type used, Google account if you are logged in to Google, mouse movements on the reCaptcha areas and tasks requiring you to identify images. The legal basis for the data processing described is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. There is a legitimate interest on our part in this data processing to ensure the security of our website and to protect us from automated entries (attacks).
Our Internet pages use functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Inc.,1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google processes the data for website use on our behalf and is contractually obligated to take measures to ensure the confidentiality of the processed data.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of our website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google observes the data protection provisions of the “EU-US Privacy Shield” agreement. Further information can be found under the following link:
We have activated the IP anonymization function on our Internet pages. This means that your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before it is transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of our website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of our website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services to the website operator relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined with other data from Google.
Demographic characteristics of Google Analytics
Our Internet pages use the “demographic features” function of Google Analytics. As a result, reports can be created that contain statements on the age, gender and interests of the site visitors. This data comes from interest-related advertising by Google and from visitor data from third parties. This information cannot be associated with any specific individual. You can deactivate this function at any time via the ad settings in your Google Account or generally prohibit Google Analytics from collecting your data as described under “Objection to data collection”.
5. Recipient / Sharing of data
Data that we receive from you will not be passed on to third parties.
In some cases, we use external service providers to operate our online services, e.g. website hosting. In these service relationships, it may happen that a service provider becomes aware of personal data. We carefully select our service providers and take all measures required under data protection law for permissible data processing.
A transfer to third countries is not planned.
6. Forwarding to another website
Within our online offer we refer in some places by link to other websites. The use of these online offers may be subject to other conditions than those described in this data protection notice.
Please therefore observe the respective data protection regulations of the other website providers.
7. Rights of the individual concerned
You have the right to obtain information about your personal data. You can contact our data protection officer or us directly for information at any time.
In the case of a request for information, we ask for your understanding that we require evidence from you in order to verify your identity.
Furthermore, you have the right to correction, deletion or restriction of the processing, as far as no other legal bases contradict this.
In addition, you have the right to object to the processing within the scope of the statutory provisions. The same applies to a right to data transfer.
If you have any doubts about the lawfulness of the processing of your personal data, you can complain to a data protection supervisory authority. You can find the contact details of the responsible supervisory authorities in Germany by searching the Internet.
8. Revocation of consent
If we process your personal data on the basis of a consent, you have the right to revoke the consent at any time with effect for the future.
The revocation of your consent does not affect the legality of the processing that took place on the basis of your consent until you revoke your consent.
9. Modification of this privacy statement
We reserve the right to update this privacy statement in the event of changes to this website or other matters. You will find the current version on our website at the appropriate place.
